On behalf of ABNN, thank you to everyone who joined our recent virtual gatherings on rural Alberta's nonprofit workforce. Together, we explored key challenges like funding complexities, large service areas, limited internet access and implementing appropriate technology, and staff burnout. But there’s hope! Flexible work arrangements and collaborative fundraising are on the rise, alongside wellness initiatives for staff and increased purposeful collaboration. In 2024, ABNN hosted four sector gatherings to discuss the nonprofit workforce. After further outreach in early 2025, we will be sharing a comprehensive "What We Heard" document to guide next steps. Stay tuned to our monthly newsletter and social pages for updates.
