Capacitor Metals Corp. Engages SRK Consulting for updated Preliminary Economic Assessment for the Upper Fir Tantalum & Niobium Deposit, British Columbia

Capacitor Metals Corp.

October 21, 2026 – TheNewswire - Capacitor Metals Corp. (the “Company” or “Capacitor”) is pleased to announce that it has engaged SRK Consulting (“SRK”) to complete an updated and 43-101 compliant Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the Upper Fir Tantalum and Niobium Deposit, in British Columbia, Canada.

In June, SRK reviewed all available project data and determined that there was sufficient data available to complete an updated PEA, which will take into account, among other factors, the current commodity prices for both tantalum and niobium.

In regards the work for the PEA, SRK were on site in Blue River in early September and reviewed amounts of the +59,000 meters of previous drilling on the Upper Fir Deposit and visited the bulk sample pits from where ~2,000 tonnes were extracted prior to the original and historic PEA produced by Amec in 2011.

The new study by SRK will factor in the marked difference in currency exchange in the last decade, as well as the significantly higher tantalum spot market price and the recent price increase for niobium. It is expected that the new PEA will be completed within Q1 2027.

Capacitor Metals President Chris Grove says “We are excited to have SRK working on the updated economics for our Upper Fir Deposit, considering the heightened global dynamics for tantalum, with continued increased global demand against issues on the side of supply. We look forward to the release of this updated PEA.”

About Capacitor Metals Corp.

Capacitor Metals Corp. is a British Columbia company focused on the development of the Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Property located in British Columbia, Canada. The Company is positioned to be one of the lowest cost tantalum-niobium producers globally, with a specific focus on being a long-term supplier of tantalum and niobium to the global market.

The Blue River Property is a fully serviced site in mining-friendly British Columbia, Canada with excellent infrastructure close at hand, including rail, paved road, water, and power adjacent to project site.

The Property contains three defined deposits of tantalum and niobium, the Verity, the Fir and the Upper Fir, and an additional 20+ mineralized known exploration targets.

The Upper Fir Tantalum and Niobium Deposit has undergone substantial exploration and technical evaluation, with more than CAD$34 million spent to date. Completed work includes over 59,000 meters of drilling in 271 drill holes, community consultations, and preliminary metallurgical and environmental studies. AMEC prepared a Preliminary Economic Assessment (“PEA”) for a prior owner of the Property, effective September 29, 2011, followed by a mineral resource update effective June 21, 2013. A subsequent technical report, titled NI 43-101 Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Project, British Columbia, Canada – Project Update Report, was prepared by Amec Foster Wheeler Americas Limited and Nimbus Management Ltd., effective March 18, 2015. The 2011 PEA is referenced solely as work previously completed; its economic inputs were subsequently considered outdated and its results should not be relied upon as representing current project economics

The Upper Fir deposit has a significant historical indicated resource of 9.6M kg contained tantalum and 77.8M kg contained niobium plus an historical inferred resource of 1.0M kg contained tantalum and 9.6M kg contained niobium.
