(“Liberty Leaf”) (CSE: LIB) announced today that it welcomes the decision of California voters to pass Proposition 64 – The Adult Use of Marijuana Act.  Liberty Leaf recently announced a signed Memorandum of Understanding with California-based Cannabis Botanical Group (“CBG”). Proposition 64 – The Adult Use of Marijuana Act

The purpose of the Adult Use of Marijuana Act is to establish a comprehensive system to legalize, control and regulate the cultivation, processing, manufacture, distribution, testing, and sale of non-medical marijuana, including marijuana products, for use by adults 21 years and older, and to tax the commercial growth and retail sale of marijuana.

California became the first medical cannabis state in 1996 when voters passed Proposition 215. The state now has a well-established medical cannabis market. Legal cannabis sales in California reached $5.4-billion in 2015 and the market for legal cannabis is projected to soar to $22-billion in revenue by 2020.
