Vancouver, BC / TheNewswire / March 1, 2017 – Imagination Park Entertainment Inc. (CSE: IP) (OTC: IPNFF) (“Imagination Park” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that it’s short film SPOKEN WORD was awarded BEST FEATURE FILM from the Independent Cinema Foundation and Festival Academy.

Spoken Word star, actor Lance Reddick, won the ICFFA award for Best Actor.

Lance Reddick comments, “I want to thank Executive Producer Gabriel Napora and all the cast members. I realize that even though I’ve received this award personally, I realize that it’s just part of a larger mosaic.”

“Spoken Word” was produced by Gabriel Napora and Tim Marlowe of Imagination Park Entertainment and directed by Ilan Srulovicz, also an acclaimed actor in The Walking Dead and Deepwater Horizon, and stars Lance Reddick (Fringe, Lost, John Wick, The Wire), as an African American judge in a moral conflict. Race, perception and consequence become the center point of three lives, as Judge Matthews realizes that he can no longer overlook his actions from the bench.

Imagination Park plans to develop “Spoken Word” into a full-length feature film and these early awards may be a good indication that the Company has a winning project in the making. Chairman Colin Wiebe states: “In a time when diversity is a trending topic, Spoken Word is timely.  Imagination Park is honored to have a part in this important film’s development and to be selected for these prestigious film festivals is a testament to the passion of the producer, writer/director and cast. We anticipate the film will be very popular as we work toward getting it to the big screen.”

“Spoken Word” has also been accepted, and will be officially screened at The Boston International Film Festival (BIFF 2017). The film festival will be held from April 13th through April 17th at the Regal Fenway Theater, Loews Cineplex / AMC, Paramount Theaters and Broadway Pictures Entertainment Studio in Boston, Massachusetts.  Widely considered to be one of America’s Top Film Festivals, The Boston International Film Festival screens some of the world’s top films.
