Forbidden Spirits Announces Issuance of Cease Trade Order and Filing of its Annual Audited Financial Statements

Forbidden Spirits Distilling Corp.

Kelowna, BC - TheNewswire- May 9, 2022 Forbidden Spirits Distilling Corp. (TSXV:VDKA) - the "Company" or “Forbidden Spirits”), reports that further to its news release of May 2, 2022, the British Columbia Securities Commission (the “BCSC”) has issued a Cease Trade Order (the “CTO”) effective May 9, 2022 as a result of the Company not filing its annual audited financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2021 and the related management's discussion and analysis and officer certifications (collectively, the "Required Filings") by May 2, 2022, being the date such filings were due under applicable Canadian securities laws.

The cause of the delay was not material to the Company or its operations and was due primarily to the Company's external auditor needing additional time to complete the required procedures. The Company has since completed the filing of the Required Filings and anticipates that the CTO will be revoked and trading of the Company’s common shares will resume in the coming days.

A copy of the CTO can be found on the BCSC’s website at www.bcsc.bc.ca.
