David Greenway, CEO of Recharge Resources, expressed enthusiasm about Segerstrom's appointment, highlighting the opportune time to invest in domestic mining opportunities, especially in the resource-rich Colorado Plateau.

Segerstrom's background includes involvement in significant discoveries, including new resources of more than 750,000 ounces of gold and 60 million ounces of silver with Paramount Gold & Silver (PZG), and new ore reserves totalling 3.4 billion pounds of copper and 3.6 million ounces of gold with Freeport. Recent executive orders from President Donald Trump aim to bolster domestic energy production, with implications for the uranium sector, emphasizing the need for a reliable and diversified energy portfolio.

The U.S. imports approximately 40.5 million pounds of U3O8 annually, with only about 5% sourced domestically. Bipartisan legislation aims to prohibit uranium imports from Russia, underscoring the need for secure supply chains.

Amazon's investment in nuclear energy developer X-energy highlights a trend among tech companies seeking clean energy sources, with Google and Microsoft also making moves in the nuclear sector.
