Tocvan Ventures Advances Pilar Au-Ag Project with Trenching Program
Calgary, Alberta -- December 9, 2021 -- NewsGenie -- Tocvan Ventures Corp. (CSE:TOC) is progressing its Pilar Au-Ag Project in Sonora, Mexico, with an ongoing trenching program. Four trenches have been completed at the 4-Trench, North Hill, and Main Zone targets.
At North Hill, a trench was completed and channel sampled to assess an anomalous copper zone showing oxide gold-silver mineralization. The 4-Trench site will undergo structural analysis to guide future drilling. Two trenches at the Main Zone will provide material for column leach studies and structural analysis.
Channel sample results are anticipated in January 2022, followed by metallurgical test work on bulk samples. Drilling is scheduled to begin within the next week, focusing on targets identified during the Phase II drill program.

Our trench program at Pilar will assist in guiding future drill programs as well as provide bulk sampling material across our oxide targets for more advanced metallurgical test work scheduled to be completed in the New Year."

The Main Zone target focuses on high-grade oxide gold-silver mineralization, with a planned 20-meter trench through an area yielding 10m @ 2.5 g/t Au and 27 g/t Ag from surface channel sampling. A second trench will test oxide mineralization 100m northwest of the primary target, where surface sampling ranged from 0.3 g/t to 6.2 g/t Au.
The North Hill prospect targets a 20-meter zone of oxide gold-silver mineralization with anomalous copper, averaging 1.7 g/t Au, 56 g/t Ag, and 0.4% Cu from channel surface sampling.
The Pilar property is considered a structurally controlled low-sulphidation epithermal project in andesite rocks. Three mineralized zones have been identified: Main Zone, North Hill, and 4-Trench. Over 22,700 m of drilling have been completed to date, with highlights including 94.6m @ 1.6 g/t Au (including 9.2m @ 10.8 g/t Au and 38 g/t Ag) from 2020 Phase I RC drilling.
