Tocvan Ventures Announces Executive Changes and Project Updates in Sonora, Mexico
Calgary, Alberta -- January 14, 2022 -- NewsGenie -- Tocvan Ventures Corp. has announced strategic changes to its executive management team as it focuses on advancing its gold-silver assets in Sonora, Mexico. Brodie A. Sutherland, formerly VP Exploration, has been appointed President, CEO, and Corporate Secretary, succeeding co-founder Derek A. Wood, who will remain a director and strategic advisor.
The company's website has been updated (tocvan.com). Tocvan has postponed its AGM due to COVID-19 related delays in approvals for the Cascade Copper spin-out transaction; a future date will be announced later.
Tocvan's Sonora portfolio includes the Pilar Gold-Silver Property, an epithermal project in andesite rocks with three identified zones of mineralization: the Main Zone, North Hill, and 4-Trench. Over 22,700 m of drilling has been completed. Highlights from 2021 Phase II RC drilling include 39.7m @ 0.96 g/t Au (including 1.5m @ 14 g/t Au) and 47.7m @ 0.70 g/t Au (including 3m @ 5.6 g/t Au and 22 g/t Ag). Phase I 2020 drilling highlights included 94.6m @ 1.6 g/t Au (including 9.2m @ 10.8 g/t Au and 38 g/t Ag) and 24.4m @ 2.5 g/t Au and 73 g/t Ag (including 1.5m @ 33.4 g/t Au and 1,090 g/t Ag).
The El Picacho Gold-Silver property, an orogenic gold system within the Caborca Orogenic Gold Belt, totals 2,414 hectares. Five primary zones of mineralization have been identified. Highlights from San Ramon include drill hole PD-01 (7.6m @ 0.73 g/t Au, including 3.0m @ 1.37g/t Au) and rock sampling (22 g/t Au and 22 g/t Ag). Cornea highlights include rock sampling results of 26 g/t Au and 340 g/t Ag. Jabali highlights include rock sampling results of 32 g/t Au. El Puerto highlights include rock sampling results of 8 g/t Au and 10 g/t Ag. Tortuga highlights include rock chip sampling results of 2m @ 4.4 g/t Au and 46 g/t Ag.
