Ecolomondo Installs New Milling Line to Boost Recycled Carbon Black Production
Montreal, QC -- January 29, 2025 -- NewsGenie -- Ecolomondo Corporation (TSXV: ECM) (OTCQB: ECLMF), a leader in sustainable scrap tire recycling, has announced the reception and commencement of installation for its new milling line. Purchased in August 2024, the automated milling line is expected to process 2,200 lbs per hour of recovered carbon black (rCB) with a particle size distribution of 90% between 10-15 microns, meeting the specifications of most of the Hawkesbury plant’s rCB customers.
The increased processing capacity is designed to surpass the rCB production at the Hawkesbury plant. Commissioning is slated for March 2025, with initial rCB milling production anticipated in May 2025, and full production targeted for late Q4 2025.
In 2024, while awaiting the new milling line, Ecolomondo increased shredding capacity, processed over 1,200 metric tons of scrap tires, ran 78 TDP batches at full capacity, shipped approximately 1,800 barrels of tire-derived oil, and sold 138 metric tons of steel. The Hawkesbury facility also produced approximately 200 metric tons of rCB, awaiting processing by the new milling line.
Interim CEO Jean-François Labbé anticipates a transformational year and is eager to begin consistent rCB deliveries.

Ecolomondo's Hawkesbury facility is a 2-Reactor TDP Facility. Once fully operational, it is expected to process over 1.5M of scrap tires per year and produce 4,500 MT of recovered carbon black, 5,400 MT of oil, 2,250 MT of steel, and to process 1,350 MT of process gas.
The Shamrock facility is projected at 5 million end-of-life tires per year, yielding approximately 15,000 MT of recovered carbon black, 18,000 MT of oil, 7,500 MT of steel, and to process 4,500 MT of syngas. Facility construction is expected to begin by the third quarter of 2025 and projected to cost approximately US$93 million.
