Woodjam Copper Initiates $1.4M Drill Program at Promising Project
Vancouver, B.C. -- June 23, 2021 -- NewsGenie -- Consolidated Woodjam Copper Corp. (TSXV:WCC) (OTC:CWMCF) has announced the commencement of its $1.4 million drill program at the Woodjam Project. Crews are mobilizing this week, with drilling expected to begin shortly. The program will initially focus on the Southeast Zone, specifically infill drilling within a higher-grade central area identified by previous drilling.
The company aims to reduce drill spacing to 50 meters in one hole to optimize grade averages. The program will also test the Megaton IP anomaly, a 1 km diameter target extending from the Southeast Zone. Only one previous hole, MT13-04, exists on the outer edge of this anomaly, showing promising alteration and mineralization.
Further drilling is planned for the Deerhorn Zone, which remains open to expansion. The 2020 program significantly improved understanding of the higher-grade portions, with holes DH20-71, 72, and 74 returning notable results such as 110 m grading 2.57 g/t gold and 0.44% copper. Management anticipates a successful season, citing rising copper demand and prices.
Glen Garratt, P. Geo., is the qualified person overseeing the project.
