Enoch Cree Nation and Sol Spaces Partner for Sustainable Greenhouse Project
EDMONTON, Alberta -- October 10, 2024 -- NewsGenie -- Visionstate Corp.'s portfolio company, Sol Spaces Inc., has partnered with Enoch Cree Nation to develop a 1,200-square-foot greenhouse. The project aims to enhance food sovereignty, sustainability, and innovation within the community.
The greenhouse will utilize Structured Insulated Panels (SIPs) for energy efficiency and insulation, reducing energy consumption and the carbon footprint. Smart sensors integrated into the Internet of Things (IoT) will monitor environmental conditions, and heat pumps will maintain consistent temperatures for year-round crop production.
Elliott Putters, President of Sol Spaces Inc., stated the partnership is about empowering communities and building resilience for future generations. Construction began in spring 2024, with operations expected to be fully underway by fall.
