Silver Lining: Beauce Gold Fields Unearths Silver-Rich Gold Grains
Montreal, Quebec -- June 13, 2024 -- NewsGenie -- Beauce Gold Fields (TSXV: BGF) has announced promising chemistry results from a scan electron analysis of gold grains sampled from the Grondin antiform outcrop on its Beauce Gold property. The analysis reveals that the gold grains contain 15% silver and 85% gold.
President and CEO Patrick Levasseur noted the significance of the silver discovery, especially with rising silver prices. He emphasized the correlation between bedrock silver and placer gold, providing insights into the historic placer gold deposit's origins.

GEOX Inc. characterized the chemistry of gold grains from a bulk sample of the Grondin antiform outcrop. The grains were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDS) at IOS Services Géoscientifiques Inc.
SEM-EDS analyses showed the gold grains averaged 85.05% gold and 14.74% silver, with fineness ranging between 820 and 870. Trace elements of Cd and Hg were found in half the samples. The absence of copper suggests a unique source chemistry.
The silver content in the Grondin grains is comparable to that recovered from historical placer gold mining operations, which indicated an average silver to gold content of 13%. Mineralized zones from Grondin drill cores reported anomalous silver levels averaging 0.79 ppm, resulting in a silver to gold ratio of 23.68% when consolidated with gold zone intersects.
The company is also closing a non-brokered private placement for gross proceeds of $285,750. The proceeds will finance exploration and for general corporate purposes.
Beauce Gold Fields aims to trace old placer gold workings back to a bedrock source, targeting economic lode gold deposits within the largest placer gold district in eastern North America.
