Altus Strategies Strikes High-Grade Gold at Diba NW Prospect in Mali
Bamako, Mali -- January 27, 2022 -- NewsGenie -- Altus Strategies Plc (AIM:ALS) (TSXV:ALTS) (OTCQX:ALTUF) has announced significant high-grade gold intersections from Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling at the Diba NW prospect, part of the Diba & Lakanfla gold project in western Mali. The project, 100% owned by Altus, spans 105 square kilometers and includes the Diba Deposit and the Lakanfla Central and Lakanfla West prospects.
Key highlights include:
- High gold grades from RC drilling at Diba NW:
- 8.74 g/t Au over 7m from 119m
- 4.76 g/t Au over 12m from 102m
- 1.16 g/t Au over 29m from 126m
- A 10,000m drilling program (RC and Diamond Drilling) is underway to:
- Test the strike and down-dip potential of Diba NW
- Test the high-grade zone within the Diba Deposit
- Test the Lakanfla Central prospect
- Expand the current Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of the Diba Deposit
- Potentially generate maiden MREs at Diba NW and Lakanfla Central
- The project's MRE and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) will be updated with the drilling results.
- Diba is located in a world-renowned gold belt.
According to Steven Poulton, Chief Executive of Altus, the high-grade results from Diba NW are promising, indicating potentially enriched zones or sub-vertical mineralized structures. The current drilling program aims to test extensions of the Diba Deposit and Diba NW, as well as the Lakanfla Central prospect. The results will inform an updated MRE for the Diba Deposit and potential maiden MREs for Diba NW and Lakanfla Central, followed by an updated PEA for the Project.
The drilling program is being conducted by Capital Drilling Limited, with approximately 5,400m of RC and 1,360m of DD completed to date. The DD program is focused on the high-grade zone within the Diba Deposit and obtaining structural data. The RC program targets extensions of mineralization at Diba Deposit and Diba NW, and will also test Lakanfla Central.
Assay results from 27 drill holes at Diba Deposit and Diba NW have been received (see Table 1 in the original release for details). The Diba license hosts an existing MRE of 217,000 ounces at 1.39 g/t Au (Indicated) and 187,000 ounces at 1.06 g/t Au (Inferred). The Diba Deposit remains open down-dip.

The Diba & Lakanfla project is strategically located near other multi-million ounce gold mines. Mineralization at Diba is sediment-hosted within stacked quartz lenses. Lakanfla hosts artisanal gold workings and evidence of karst-style voids. Altus adheres to industry best practices for QAQC in its sampling and analysis.
