Alexandra Centre Society Offers Mural Prints to Support Seniors

Calgary, Alberta -- December 9th, 2021 -- NewsGenie -- The Alexandra Centre Society (ACS) has partnered with local artists to create a vibrant mural, "Convergence," on its building's facade. Now, prints of the mural are available for purchase to support care packages for local senior citizens. The mural celebrates local history, fosters truth and reconciliation, and was funded by a City of Calgary public art grant. Calgary artist Karen Scarlett collaborated with Metis artist Edwin McGowan and Blackfoot artist Smith Wright to bring the vision to life.

Located at 922 9 Avenue SE, the "Convergence" murals reflect the area's heritage. Proceeds from print sales will benefit the ACS Seniors' Picnic Basket Program, which provides nourishment and activity items to seniors. The ACS works with local organizations to identify seniors in need and ensure they receive personalized care packages.

Prints can be purchased at https://alexandracentresociety.org/convergence-framed-art-prints.
