Zonte Metals Unearths Large Copper Anomaly at Newfoundland's Cross Hills Project
Newfoundland and Labrador -- April 2, 2024 -- NewsGenie -- Zonte Metals (TSXV:ZON) (XOTC:EREPF) has announced the discovery of a significant copper-in-soil anomaly at the K9 target within its Cross Hills Copper Project. The anomaly, measuring 1500m in length and up to 1100m in width, is coincident with magnetic and gravity anomalies. Prospecting efforts have revealed several new copper showings within the soil target area.
The K9 target, characterized by coincident magnetic and gravity anomalies in a structural zone, previously showed grades up to 1.76% Cu and 12 g/t Ag. Expanded soil sampling has identified the extensive copper-in-soil anomaly, extending beyond the gravity anomaly's limits to the south, aligning with the magnetic trend. Prospecting has identified chalcopyrite and other sulfides in several locations (see Fig 1 below), with mineral gradation from chalcocite and bornite to chalcopyrite and pyrite.
Additional exploration, including expanding the gravity grid and further mapping and prospecting, is planned for the southern sector of the soil anomaly.
