Thermal Energy Announces Board of Director Change
OTTAWA, ONTARIO – TheNewswire - December 7, 2021 –– Thermal Energy International Inc. (“Thermal Energy” Or the “Company”) (TSXV:TMG), (OTC:TMGEF), has announced the following change to its Board of Directors.
John Kelly has stepped down as Chairman of the Board. Mr. Kelly has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thermal Energy for 12 years. He will remain an active member of the Board of Directors going forward. As Chairman he has worked tirelessly to advance the interests of the Company and its shareholders. He provided the critical stability, leadership and sage guidance the Company needed to grow and prosper. He leaves his role as Chairman with the Company much stronger than it was when he assumed the role. The Board and Management of Thermal Energy are very appreciative of Mr. Kelly 's guidance, insights and leadership as Chairman over the last 12 years and look forward to his contributions going forward as a board member.
William White has been appointed as Mr. Kelly’s successor. Mr. White has already proven himself to be a valuable and active member of TEI Board for five years and has extensive global leadership and public company director experience. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Woodland Biofuels, which is commercializing technology for low-cost bio-ethanol production, and Director and Chairman of CHAR Technologies, a catalytic desulfurization company. He served as Director and Chairman of Afexa Life Sciences from 2009-2011 and is also a past Director of Helix BioPharma Corp., Progressive Waste Management Solutions, and MaRS Discovery District.
William had a 34-year career with E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, where he retired as the President of DuPont Canada in 2008 following progressive roles spanning senior management, sales, technical and operations, domestically and internationally. William chairs the advisory board for the Schulich Center of Excellence for Responsible Business and received his Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) certification in 2012.
