NovaTeqni Wins Long Term Supply Agreement For Solar Systems With The United Nations Development Programme ("UNDP")
Calgary, Alberta / TheNewswire / April 10, 2018 - NovaTeqni Corporation (“NovaTeqni” or the "Company") (TSXV - NTQ: OTCQB - NVTQF) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a two year Long Term Agreement for the provision of turnkey Photovoltaics (PV) solar power systems to the UNDP, specifically for smaller home lighting systems as required for a number of countries around the world. The Company was one of a select few who was chosen as a global supplier for this product.
Gerhard Mynhardt states, “NovaTeqni has supplied thousands of solar power packs to the United Nations over the past years. Our newly designed robust SP110 solar system, on which our previously announced, NovaTeqni designed, off grid solar power solution called NovaVOLT is based, is ideal for this requirement. Our system has a 60 watt solar panel with mountings to withstand winds up to 120km/h. The integrated battery pack provides more than 2,000 recharge cycles. The system was designed by NovaTeqni for long-term reliability and high performance. Along with the solar power system, Novateqni designed bright LED lights to provide 800 lumens per light which is approximately the same as with a 60 watt incandescent light bulb with very low energy usage. This level of brightness is far superior to that of first-generation home solar systems on the market that have LED lights of less than 300 lumens which is dimmer than a 3 watt incandescent bulb. The high capacity batteries we use easily provide lighting for a small multi-room household for a night with substantial surplus capacity remaining if necessary.
There are hundreds of millions of households without electricity globally. NovaTeqni is addressing this urgent and significant need with a new range of off-grid solar power solutions including pay as you go functionality based on blockchain technology and token transfers.”
