February 11, 2019 / TheNewswire / Providence Gold Mines “the Company” (TSX:V-PHD) further to its news release of February 4, 2019, where the Company reported construction of the road continues, the Company is very close to completion of the new drill road, and anticipated to start drilling next week, however, a freak snow storm this past weekend has dropped upwards of three feet of snow on our gold property which has shut down road building operations.
The Company has been in communication with the contractor who has stated that we are probably looking at least a two week delay assuming the weather cooperates before we could possibly resume work. The Company then anticipates a further three to four days to complete the drill access road.
The Company is very excited about our planned drilling program of this past historical high grade producer so this unexpected snowfall is a disappointment to us all.
