GCAC's Citizen Green TV acquires Weed & Whiskey TV Broadcast License

Global Compliance Applications Corp.

Acquisition creates a legal cannabis video content advertising & couponing offering

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, September 10, 2024 – TheNewswire – Global Compliance Applications Corp. (“GCAC” or “Company”) (CSE: APP, FSE: 2FA, OTCQB: FUAPF), a blockchain-based platform revolutionizing consumer engagement, announces its acquisition of the video on demand (VOD) streaming rights and distribution network of Weed & Whiskey TV (WWTV).  Citizen Green TV (CGTV) is the only veterans’ health and wellness channel on Roku. Through its launch on Lightcast [1], CGTV will additionally broadcast across Apple TV, Android TV, Fire TV, and web browsers, providing content to over 16.6+ million veterans (and 200 million viewers) across North America. WWTV has over 142K subscribers and will remain as a sub channel on CGTV [2].

With the growing legalization of cannabis and FCC restrictions on traditional advertising—such as those on Google and Meta—GCAC identified a clear opportunity. By securing the WWTV streaming license, they are now positioned to play a crucial role in connecting cannabis companies with veterans. CGTV and Uplift [3] together creates a one-of-a-kind advertising ecosystem as advertising preference on CGTV is given to dispensaries and brands using Efixii Uplift [4].  GCAC gains new Uplift app users from veterans who watch CGTV and then download Uplift NFT coupons from ads run by those companies. As viewership grows securing those ad spots becomes more competitive and drives higher ad revenue, and coupon revenue, for GCAC.  Lightcast effectively becomes a de facto sales force, automatically launching ads once viewership reaches a certain level, driving Uplift downloads in the veteran community at a lower cost to the company.

Under GCAC NA’s President, Steve Peterson’s leadership, CGTV is seizing the rapid growth of advertiser-supported VOD channels, which are expanding at 21.5% [5] annually. By partnering with content creators, CGTV is leading in veteran programming, with currently over 75 show titles and hundreds of hours of programming. Says Peterson “CGTV and Uplift together will be the premier offering for the canna industry to connect to customers, starting with veterans. The Weedmaps model has shown what the market will pay for access to customers so by putting blockchain driven ads inside of streaming video content (where ads are actually allowed) to a targeted, and expandable market, is the evolution of the advertising and revenue generation in the cannabis market.”
