Tinkerine Enters Partnership with Vancouver International Airport and Wavefront Centre

Tinkerine Studios Ltd.

TheNewswire - September 24, 2020 - Tinkerine™ Studios Ltd. (TSXV:TTD) (OTC:TKSTF)  ("Tinkerine" or the "Company") announces a Partnership (“Partnership”) with Vancouver International Airport (“YVR”) and Wavefront Centre for Communication Accessibility (“Wavefront Centre”) for the design and manufacture of Tinkerine clear face masks.

Wavefront Centre, a non-profit charity, envisions a society where Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Hearing people can interact freely without communication barriers. Tinkerine aims to keep best-in-class personal protective equipment (“PPE”) made in Canada and accessible to all. The clear face mask will be reusable and features a replaceable filter cartridge.

YVR continues to commit to the community by considering the following three programs:

  • - A matching program: for every clear face mask sold, YVR will donate another to a community in need.

    - Bulk purchases for communities in need.

    - Bulk purchase for the airport authority as part of YVR's TAKEcare program.

Tamara Vrooman, YVR Chief Executive Officer states: “At YVR, people are at the center of everything we do – and we build and operate our airport ensuring it is open and accessible to everyone. That is why we are proud to be supporting Wavefront and Tinkerine to get accessible masks into the community.”

Christopher T. Sutton, Wavefront Centre Chief Executive Officer states: “Communication during the pandemic is critical in making informed decisions to protect ourselves and loved ones. Wavefront Centre aligns our vision with the current climate to reduce communication barriers for our community. We are delighted to work with YVR and Tinkerine to come up with a solution for accessible communication.”

Eugene Suyu, Chief Executive Officer states: “The global pandemic has challenged all of us to approach things a little differently. Providing accessibility to communication is now more important than ever in a time where face coverings are a norm. We aim to establish strong and localized manufacturing capabilities in Canada and have worked hard with our partnerships to design and deliver innovative, best-in-class products that keep PPE's made in Canada and accessible to all.”

Tinkerine continues to design and manufacture premium PPE available for purchase on its online store and via select entities across Canada. Tinkerine has also established partnerships and relationships with businesses and entities seeking a high-quality Canadian manufactured PPE.
