Kirkstone Metals Corp. Updates on Permitting for Key Lake Road and Gorilla Lake Uranium Projects
June 10, 2026 — Vancouver, BC — June 10, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Kirkstone Metals Corp. provided an update on its ongoing permitting for the Key Lake Road and Gorilla Lake Athabasca uranium projects. The company is seeking permits for up to 6.2 kilometers of line cutting for induced polarization (IP) surveys and up to 30 drill holes targeting the DD Zone at Key Lake Road. The DD Zone is situated on a north-south-trending fault, which aligns with the geological features of the producing uranium mines on the eastern side of the Athabasca basin. Historical exploration at the DD Zone has consistently found anomalous uranium mineralization, and the upcoming IP survey is expected to help refine drill targets for future exploration. Kirkstone is currently engaged in consultations with local First Nations and stakeholders in the Key Lake Road area as part of the permitting process.
At the Gorilla Lake project, Kirkstone is seeking permits for approximately 7,000 meters of diamond drilling. This program will follow up on an anticipated airborne Time-Domain Electromagnetic (EM) survey and subsequent ground truthing. Past exploration efforts focused on the western part of the claim group, where anomalous uranium mineralization was encountered, leaving a significant portion of the property underexplored. A Helicopter-borne Transient Electromagnetic (Heli-TEM) survey conducted by the company in 2024 identified several potential structural trends warranting further investigation. Kirkstone is also consulting with local First Nations and interested stakeholders in the Gorilla Lake area as part of its permitting efforts.
The company indicated that further updates will be provided as the permitting process progresses and exploration plans are finalized. In a separate development, Kirkstone announced that it will not proceed with the acquisition of all issued and outstanding shares of Samson Metals Corp., which was initially agreed upon in a share purchase agreement dated April 22, 2026.
Technical information within the release was reviewed and approved by Tim Henneberry, P.Geo., a consultant to the Company and a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
