Symbl.ai Secures $17M to Advance Conversation Intelligence Platform
Seattle, WA -- February 5, 2021 -- NewsGenie -- Symbl.ai, a platform providing Conversation Intelligence (CI) APIs and tools, announced a $17 million Series A funding round led by Great Point Ventures. Gutbrain Ventures, PBJ Capital, Crosscut Ventures and Flying Fish Ventures also participated. The investment will accelerate product development, expand Symbl.ai’s teams, and boost sales and marketing efforts.
Ray Lane, partner at Great Point Ventures and former President and COO of Oracle Corporation, will join Symbl.ai’s board of directors.
According to Symbl.ai, businesses are looking to unlock insights within conversations. CEO Surbhi Rathore stated that current options for extracting intelligence from conversations are complex and limited. Symbl.ai addresses this by providing a platform designed for B2B and B2C brands to bring context and structure to conversations.
Symbl.ai's API-driven platform is used by brands including Rev.ai, Airmeet, Intermedia, Remo, SpectrumVoip, Intuit, Bandwidth and Hubilo. It allows product teams to incorporate intelligence capabilities into their products, such as Transcription Plus, Conversation Analytics, and Summarization.
Lane noted the rise of digital conversations and stated that Symbl's platform helps companies utilize conversation data to provide insights to customers.
Following its self-serve launch in 2020, Symbl.ai will use the funding to expand its product offerings, streamline developer onboarding, and recruit talent.
