Radius Gold Receives Drill Permits for Tierra Roja Copper Project

July 7, 2025 — NewsWall — Radius Gold Inc. (TSXV: RDU) has secured permits for drilling at its wholly-owned Tierra Roja copper project. The company has also announced results from recent geophysical surveys that have identified a large zone of high resistive and high chargeable material at depth, beneath surface copper mineralization.

The combination of surface copper oxide mineralization and the geophysical response has defined compelling drill targets. Radius anticipates commencing the Phase 1 drill program in Q3 to test the geophysical targets below the outcropping alteration and copper oxide mineralization.

Detailed geological mapping, geochemistry, and magnetic surveys have been completed at Tierra Roja. Several zones of structurally controlled alteration, associated with copper mineralization, have been identified. The origins of the alteration and copper oxide mineralization are uncertain, and drilling is required to determine if they are related to porphyry copper or IOCG mineralization.

Radius's local subsidiary in Peru has received authorizations for drilling and construction of 20 drill pads and access roads. The company is currently negotiating drill contracts.

Bruce Smith, President and CEO of Radius Gold, commented on the receipt of drill permits and the definition of geophysical targets. Bruce Smith, M.Sc. (Geology), is Radius’ Qualified Person.
