Cascade Copper Corp. Completes Maiden Drilling Program at Centrefire Copper-Gold Project
Vancouver, British Columbia — July 13, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Cascade Copper Corp. has completed its inaugural drilling program at the Centrefire Copper-Gold Project, situated approximately 40 kilometres from Dryden, Ontario. The program consisted of five drill holes totaling 607 metres, all of which intersected sulphide mineralization. Notably, holes CF-26-03 through CF-26-05 displayed significant copper sulphide mineralization in the form of chalcopyrite.
Shannon Baird, Vice-President of Exploration for Cascade Copper, expressed optimism regarding the project's copper potential, stating, "After seeing the core from all five holes at the Centrefire Project, I am quite encouraged about the overall copper potential of the hydrothermal system. The amount of chalcopyrite in several zones within the holes, especially holes 03, 04, and 05 have exceeded my expectations. This was an excellent first pass, and I look forward to seeing the results from the analysis."
The Centrefire Cu-Au Project spans 2,500 hectares and is located within the Wabigoon Greenstone Belt in Northwestern Ontario, approximately 40 kilometres northeast of Dryden and 35 kilometres southwest of Sioux Lookout. Historical exploration efforts, including ten short drill holes (less than 75 metres vertical depth), five surface trenches, and extensive channel sampling, alongside surface and airborne geophysics, had previously indicated copper, gold, and nickel mineralization. Phelps Dodge explored the area between 1968 and 1970, uncovering several stacked intervals of mineralization.
Recent exploration by Cascade has corroborated surface mineralization and refined geophysical interpretations, leading to the definition of priority drill targets. Contemporary surface sampling has yielded results up to 2.86% copper, 2.84 g/t gold, and 23.5 g/t silver.
With drilling now concluded, logging and sampling are ongoing at the site under the supervision of Mr. Baird. Samples are being prioritized for submission to the laboratory, with initial results anticipated in six to eight weeks. Following the receipt of results, Cascade Copper is considering a Bore Hole Electro Magnetic (BHEM) survey to identify potential VMS-style conductors near the current drilling area. This could inform a subsequent phase 2 drill program targeting extensions of promising intersections along strike and at depth.
The technical information within this release was prepared and approved by Shannon Baird, P.Geo., Vice President Exploration of Cascade Copper Corp., who is a Qualified Person as defined by National Instrument 43-101 and is registered with the Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and the Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia. Management has cautioned that visual core observations and grab samples are selective and not necessarily representative of the entire property or drill holes, and that assay results are pending. Mineral identification does not guarantee economic grades.
Cascade Copper is an exploration-stage natural resource company focused on evaluating, acquiring, and exploring copper-based mineral resource properties. The company's exploration strategy targets copper and gold porphyry and mesothermal gold deposits in British Columbia, as well as VMS and BIF copper, gold, and silver deposits in Ontario. Cascade utilizes modern technologies, including 3D inversion modelling of geophysics, LiDAR elevation models, and AI-enhanced predictive modelling, in its exploration efforts. The company has five projects, including the Copper Plateau Copper-Moly Project, the Centrefire Copper-Gold Project, the Rogers Creek Copper-Gold Project, the Fire Mountain Copper-Gold Project, and the Bendor Gold-Tungsten Project.
