San Lorenzo Gold Corp. Proposes Board Appointments and Technical Advisor to Enhance Exploration Efforts
CALGARY, Alberta – September 8, 2026 – Leads & Copy – San Lorenzo Gold Corp. (TSXV: SLG) (OTCQB: SNLGF) is proposing to appoint Dan Noone and Samuele Renelli to its Board of Directors, subject to shareholder approval at a special meeting scheduled for November 12, 2026. The company also announced the appointment of Thomas Woolrych as Technical Advisor, moves intended to bolster the company's exploration, technical, and operational expertise as it expands drilling activities at its Salvadora Project in Chile.
The proposed additions come as San Lorenzo increases drilling at Salvadora, which includes step-out drilling from recent discoveries and the testing of multiple undrilled IP targets. The company aims to define the scale and potential of the mineralized systems on the property, located in Chile's Atacama Region.
Dan Noone brings over 35 years of international mineral exploration and development experience, with a significant focus on South America and the Guiana Shield. A Fellow of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, Mr. Noone previously served as Chief Executive Officer and Director of G2 Goldfields Inc. In that role, he was part of the leadership team credited with the discovery of the Oko-Ghanie Gold Project in Guyana. As CEO, he guided G2 through its advancement, resource definition, and preliminary economic assessment phases. G2 Goldfields was acquired by G Mining Ventures Corp. in July 2026 for an estimated C$3.0 billion. Prior to that, Mr. Noone was Executive Director and Vice President of Exploration at Guyana Goldfields Inc.
Samuele Renelli, a professional engineer (P.Eng.), is a mining executive with more than 25 years of technical and operational experience. He most recently held the position of Vice President, Technical Services at Foran Mining Corporation, which was acquired by Eldorado Gold Corporation in April 2026 for approximately C$3.8 billion. Following the acquisition, Mr. Renelli joined Eldorado as Vice President, Underground Mining, where his responsibilities include operational strategy, technical standards, and readiness across the company's portfolio. He has also held senior positions with Newmont and Goldcorp.
Thomas Woolrych, an economic geologist with over 20 years of international exploration and mining experience, joins as Technical Advisor. As a long-standing shareholder, Mr. Woolrych has closely followed the technical development of the Salvadora Project and will provide additional geological perspective and project familiarity.
San Lorenzo’s Chief Executive Officer, Brandon Gaspar, stated that Mr. Noone's experience in translating exploration success into shareholder value, particularly with the Oko-Ghanie project and G2’s subsequent acquisition, is highly relevant as the company tests and defines the Salvadora opportunity. Mr. Gaspar also noted that Mr. Renelli's major-company technical and operational discipline will complement the exploration team and support decision-making as drilling, modeling, and systematic evaluation of the mineralized systems expand. Mr. Gaspar added that Mr. Woolrych's long-standing shareholder perspective and familiarity with Salvadora will also be valuable.
Al Kroontje, Executive Chair, expressed pleasure regarding the proposed appointments of Mr. Noone and Mr. Renelli to the Board, and the formalization of Mr. Woolrych's role, emphasizing that their complementary experience is significant for San Lorenzo at its current growth stage.
The special meeting of shareholders on November 12, 2026, will seek to elect a slate of directors, including the proposed additions. In the interim period, Mr. Noone and Mr. Renelli will serve as advisors. Detailed information will be included in the company's management information circular, expected to be filed in approximately 30 days.
The Company has also granted an aggregate of 500,000 incentive stock options to the proposed directors and Mr. Woolrych. These options are exercisable for one common share at $5.84 per share for five years and vest progressively over time, subject to exchange policies.
