Windfall Geotek Renews Claims on 592 Hectares Based on AI-Generated Zinc Targets

Brossard, Québec — September 30, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Windfall Geotek Inc. has announced the renewal of its claims on 592 hectares of land, following successful modeling and extraction of a geophysical "digital signature" identified as an AI zinc target. The company, a leader in applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning to mineral discovery since 2005, generated the AI zinc targets using a model that identified a high degree of similarity with the zinc-copper assays of seven VMS Deposits located southeast of the Bathurst Mining Camp in New Brunswick. These deposits include Brunswick Nr.12, Brunswick Nr.6, Key Anacon, Captain, Captain North Extension, Heath Steele, and Stratmat Main.

The VMS-1 Upper Sprig Brook property, where the claims were renewed, was initially staked in September 2025 based on an AI Targeting Study of the Bathurst Mining Camp conducted in 2025. The property is situated approximately 14 kilometers east-southeast of the VMS Heath Steele Mines and 6 kilometers south of the VMS Captain Deposit. Access to the property is facilitated by Highway 430 and secondary logging roads branching off it.

Windfall Geotek employed a methodology utilizing 694 variables derived from a 1995 multiparameter survey (magnetic, radiometric, electromagnetic) and the 2004 MEGATEM Survey. This data was gridded to a 50m cell size, resulting in 1,363,428 data points. A total of 26,887 zinc and copper assays served as learning data for the AI model. This training data was sourced from the Government of New Brunswick Energy & Mines department drill hole database, Votorantim Metals Canada, data compiled in Economic Geology Monograph 11, and Windfall Geotek's own compilations of the Hafmile, Chester, and Captain deposits.

The VMS-1 Upper Sprig Brook property is primarily underlain by rocks of the Tetagouche Group, including felsic volcanics of the Nepisiquit Falls Formation and Flat Landing Brook Formation, which are in fault contact with mafic volcanics of the Boucher Brook Formation. Exploration activities in the property's vicinity date back to 1953. Between 1953 and 2005, 37 holes were drilled to test MEGATEM II Time Domain Airborne Electromagnetic anomalies. While many drillholes targeted EM anomalies with conductors explained by graphitic sediments or were for stratigraphic purposes, some mineralized zones containing minor chalcopyrite and a few pyritic and/or quartz schists with negligible gold were reported.

Historical drill results include Hole B-3 (1953) with 9.2% Zn, 0.44% Cu, and 170 g/t Ag; Hole B-23 (1953) with 4.8% Zn, 0.47% Cu, and 100 g/t Ag; Hole A72-5 (1972) with 0.2% Zn, 0.6% Cu, and 4 g/t Ag; and Hole SB-05-03 (2005) with 0.27% Cu and 0.21% Cu over 0.4m.

Windfall Geotek plans a future terrain campaign, including rock or soil sampling, based on a strong compilation of historic data.

Michel Fontaine, President and CEO of Windfall Geotek, stated that the company's AI System continues to prove the effectiveness of Digital Exploration by using a data-driven approach to focus exploration efforts on smaller, high-priority areas. He highlighted that this technology makes exploration more targeted, efficient, and cost-effective by narrowing the search footprint before significant field spending. Fontaine also noted that the Bathurst project represents an evolution in the company's business model, moving from generating AI/ML targets for clients to selectively participating in the exploration and potential value creation of targets generated by its own technology. He stated that after 41 client discoveries, the company is prepared to showcase its AI System's full capabilities by operating as a hybrid company, integrating services with direct AI-driven Digital Exploration.

Fontaine expressed anticipation for advancing these high-priority VMS targets through subsequent phases of work, aiming to validate and ultimately drill-test the strongest targets. He emphasized that this approach is what Digital Exploration should deliver: enhanced targeting, disciplined capital deployment, and direct participation in the value unlocked by AI.

The technical information in the news release was reviewed and approved by Grigor Heba, Chief Geologist of Windfall Geotek and a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.
