Trailbreaker Resources Acquires Wheaton Gold Property in British Columbia

July 7, 2025 — NewsWall — Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has acquired the Wheaton Gold property, an orogenic gold prospect 60 km east of Dease Lake, British Columbia. The property covers the headwaters of multiple placer gold-bearing creeks, including Alice Shea Creek, known for the 52 troy oz ‘Turnagain nugget’.

The Wheaton Gold Property features 2,223 hectares, truck and ATV trail access, and covers the headwaters of Wheaton and Alice Shea creeks. Historic exploration includes a three-hole diamond drill program in 1986, yielding 5.38 g/t Au over 3.05 m, and historic gold-in-soil values up to 32.3 g/t Au.

CEO Daithi Mac Gearailt said the company is excited to add the Wheaton Gold property to its portfolio. The company is designing an exploration program.

The property is accessible via all-terrain vehicles utilizing the Boulder Mine Road or by float plane. Giga Metals Corporation has proposed a road and transmission line to its Turnagain nickel-cobalt deposit, 10 km to the east.

Placer gold was first discovered in 1932. Wheaton Creek produced 7,756 oz of placer gold between 1932 and 1945, and Alice Shea Creek produced 331 oz Au between 1936 and 1940. Modern-day placer mining continues with over 20,000 oz of placer gold recovered to date.

Hardrock exploration history includes a 1986 program by Supreme Resources, which returned gold-in-soil values up to 32,300 ppb Au and rock grab samples up to 11.25 g/t Au. Pacific Bay Minerals held the ground from 2015 to 2024, conducting an airborne magnetic survey in 2021.

The Shea zone, located along the headwaters of Alice Shea creek, saw exploration work from 1985 to 1996. Loumic Resources’ 1996 program identified anomalous gold-arsenic zones. In 2011, First Point Minerals Corp focused on nickel mineralization.

The Wheaton Gold property is underlain by ultramafic rocks of the oceanic Cache Creek terrane and metasedimentary rocks of the Kedahda Formation.

Trailbreaker signed an option agreement with Cordilleran Properties on July 1st, 2025, to acquire a 100% interest in the Wheaton Gold property by completing payments and expenditures totaling $1,125,000 over five years. Upon completion, Cordilleran Properties will retain a 2.0% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty.
