Western Star Resources Engages KC Harvey Environmental for Drill Permitting at Rowland Tungsten Property

Vancouver, British Columbia — June 3, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Western Star Resources Inc. (CSE: WSR) (OTC: WSRIF) (FRA: 4K2) has engaged KC Harvey Environmental, LLC to lead drill-permitting efforts at its wholly owned Rowland Tungsten Property in Elko County, Nevada, USA. The company has also initiated preliminary discussions with the Mountain City–Ruby Mountains–Jarbidge Ranger District of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest in preparation for submitting a Plan of Operations.

KC Harvey, an environmental consultancy based in Bozeman, Montana, specializes in mining permitting, reclamation, and NEPA support throughout the western United States. The firm’s mining services are directed by its founder, Kevin Harvey, M.Sc., who holds board certification as a professional soil scientist and serves as the current President of the American Society of Mining and Reclamation.

KC Harvey has been tasked with preparing and submitting a Plan of Operations, using USDA Forest Service form FS-2800-5 under 36 CFR 228A, for Western Star’s planned Phase 2 drilling program at the Rowland property. The consultancy will also support the associated National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) review process.

Key actions include Western Star’s engagement of KC Harvey as its permitting consultant for the Rowland Tungsten Property. KC Harvey has begun drafting the Plan of Operations for submission to the U.S. Forest Service to support drill testing at Rowland. Additionally, Western Star has commenced communication with the Jarbidge District Ranger of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, the relevant U.S. Forest Service authority for the Rowland Property.

The permitting work is proceeding concurrently with the Company’s ongoing Phase 1 exploration program at Rowland. The objective is to prepare the project for drill testing of three confirmed zones of historical tungsten workings. The company anticipates that the extensive historical workings already documented at Rowland will support its argument that the project area is previously disturbed, which is expected to facilitate the NEPA pathway.

Blake Morgan, CEO and President of Western Star, stated, “Engaging KC Harvey and opening dialogue with the Jarbidge District Ranger is the logical next step for Rowland. With Phase 1 field work confirming a materially larger exploration opportunity than the historical record suggested, our priority is to advance permitting in parallel with exploration so we are positioned to drill test the Rowland targets without delay.”

The Plan of Operations is the primary authorization required from the U.S. Forest Service to conduct drilling on National Forest System lands. KC Harvey’s responsibilities encompass the preparation of the Plan of Operations, support for environmental baseline and reclamation planning, and coordination of the NEPA review process with the U.S. Forest Service. Western Star intends to advance the application alongside state-level reclamation permitting and its ongoing Phase 1 and Phase 2 exploration programs at Rowland, and will issue further updates upon the submission of the Plan of Operations and as the permitting review progresses.
