Centenario Gold Corp. Announces Positive Assay Results from Los Reyes Project
Vancouver, B.C. — July 13, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Centenario Gold Corp. has announced positive assay results from surface and underground rock samples collected at its Los Reyes Project, a copper and gold asset located near Chihuahua, Mexico. The sampling program, completed in May, focused on the El Rey mineral concession, specifically targeting the intrusive-limestone contact zone where historical copper-rich skarn zones have been identified.
A total of 58 samples were collected from surface, waste dumps, pits, and underground workings across two primary old mining areas: the Tueda shaft zone and the Jibosa shaft zone. These areas are situated approximately 200 meters apart along the mineralized contact. The majority of the samples were channel cut samples taken across rock outcrops, with a few grab and chip samples also collected.
At the Jibosa shaft zone, underground samples from the peripheral margins of a skarn body previously exploited in the mid-1900s yielded significant copper and zinc values. Historical reports indicate these copper-rich zones could reach up to 30 meters in width and 100 meters in length, with potential for further extension vertically and laterally along the contact.
Notably, one grab sample (no. 417995) from a stockpile at Jibosa returned 7.19% copper and 2.88% zinc, suggesting it represents material historically used as ‘mine feed’. Another sample (no. 417968), taken from a 0.6-meter wide fracture filling zone outcropping 20 meters below the surface, assayed a high-grade 27.9% copper.
The Tueda shaft zone underground samples indicated significant molybdenum and anomalous gold values. The presence of gold in the Los Reyes mineralized system suggests its occurrence and grade may increase significantly with depth and laterally.
The results from this mapping and rock sampling program have been instrumental in refining the understanding of the mineralized system and assisting in the precise location, orientation, and depth determination for planned drill holes. Centenario Gold Corp. is preparing for an upcoming core drilling program, which is scheduled to commence in early August. This program will consist of 4 to 6 holes, totaling approximately 1500 meters.
The rock sampling program was supervised by a senior professional geologist. Samples were prepared and analyzed by ALS Chemex in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, using standard analytical methods, with over-limits analyzed using specific methods for copper, molybdenum, and zinc.
