Stellar AfricaGold Inc. to Launch 10,000-Meter Auger Drill Program at Zuénoula Gold Project
Vancouver, BC — June 23, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Stellar AfricaGold Inc. announced plans Tuesday to commence a 10,000-meter auger drill program at the Stellar-MetalsGrove Joint Venture Zuénoula Gold Project in Cote d’Ivoire. The program is set to begin at the end of June, utilizing two rigs in two stages to test identified gold anomalous clusters.
The exploration targets within the Zuénoula Permit have been consolidated into four principal prospects: Fifty-Five, Central, South East, and South West. Recent soil geochemistry interpretation has defined seven potential drill targets across these prospects, which will be further refined through ongoing infill soil sampling and auger drilling before potential follow-up with Aircore/Reverse Circulation (AC/RC) or diamond drilling from late 2026.
The Zuénoula Gold Project is an early-stage exploration project covering 395.78 square kilometers. It is operated under a joint venture between Stellar's Ivorian subsidiary, Aucrest SARL, and MetalsGrove Mining Ltd.'s Ivorian subsidiary, MetalsGrove CDI Pty Ltd. Under the agreement, MetalsGrove can earn up to a 50% interest by incurring US$3,000,000 in exploration expenditures, and up to an 80% interest by incurring a total of US$6,000,000 in exploration expenditures.
J. François Lalonde, President and CEO of Stellar, stated that the upcoming auger drilling program is a critical step towards testing the bedrock potential beneath surface gold anomalies. He noted that the definition of seven potential drill targets, several with kilometer-scale strike lengths, highlights the growing scale and prospectivity of the project. With over 1,700 soil samples awaiting assay results, there is potential to further expand these targets and discover new ones.
The auger drilling program will focus on the Fifty-Five, Central, and South East Prospects. Stage 1 will involve approximately 5,000 meters of drilling on a 400m x 50m pattern, followed by Stage 2 infill drilling on a 250m x 25m spacing, contingent on initial results. Auger drilling is planned to an average depth of five meters to assess mineralization potential in the upper saprolite horizon. Refined drill line locations will be incorporated based on results from ongoing soil infill programs.
The technical information in the release was reviewed and approved by Mr. Robert Perring, Exploration Manager of MetalsGrove Mining Limited and a member of the Australian Institute of Geoscientists, who is a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
