Golden Cariboo Resources Announces Inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate for Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property

September 30, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. announced an inaugural independent Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property in central British Columbia. The MRE, prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101, indicates 10 million tonnes at 0.56 grams per tonne AuEq, containing 178,000 ounces of gold in the Indicated category. Additionally, the estimate includes 71 million tonnes at 0.44 g/t AuEq, containing 1.0 million ounces of gold in the Inferred category.

The property, located approximately 4 kilometres northeast of Hixon, British Columbia, remains open in all directions and has a new Halo deposit defined over a strike length of 1150 metres by about 420 metres wide. The company noted that the Main zone remains outside the current estimate, as do four other parallel geophysical and geochemical targets with multi-kilometre potential, offering opportunities for future resource growth.

Frank Callaghan, President and CEO of Golden Cariboo Resources, stated that the MRE is a significant achievement, validating the strength of the Halo discovery. He highlighted that the resource was defined from only 24 of the 30 company drill holes, totaling less than 8,500 metres of drilling.

The MRE has an effective date of September 26, 2026, and was prepared by Sue Bird, P.Eng., of Bird Resource Consulting Corp., an independent Qualified Person. Golden Cariboo Resources will file an independent NI 43-101 technical report supporting the MRE on SEDAR+ within 45 days of this news release.

The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property benefits from excellent existing infrastructure, including year-round road access and proximity to an existing rail corridor. Major suppliers, contractors, and mining support services are readily accessible from nearby Prince George and Quesnel, which also host regional and international airports. This established network is expected to facilitate efficient exploration and development activities.

Mineral resources that are not mineral reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. Inferred mineral resources, which have a lower level of confidence than Indicated mineral resources, also do not have demonstrated economic viability. The estimate of mineral resources may be materially affected by various environmental, permitting, legal, title, taxation, socio-political, marketing, or other relevant issues.

Key assumptions for the MRE include an open pit reporting cut-off grade of 0.15 g/t Gold Equivalent (AuEq), with price assumptions of US$3600/oz gold and US$40/oz silver. Metallurgical recoveries are estimated at 90% for gold and 50% for silver. Processing, administrative, treatment, refining, transportation, and mining costs were also factored into the calculations, alongside 45-degree pit slopes.

The company's quality assurance and quality control program included the systematic insertion of certified reference materials, blanks, and duplicate samples. Review of QA/QC results demonstrated acceptable levels of accuracy and precision, supporting the suitability of the analytical database. Historical data was assessed by the independent QP and used only after verification.

Known risks that could affect potential development include title and surface rights, First Nations consultation, permitting and environmental factors, commodity prices, costs, exchange rates, and the substantial portion of the estimate classified as Inferred resources. The company has also highlighted that no metallurgical testing has been carried out, there are no mineral reserves, and no production decision has been made. An independent technical report detailing the MRE will be filed on SEDAR+.

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. intends to use the MRE as a foundation for ongoing drilling, metallurgical testwork, environmental baseline studies, and further geological modelling at the Halo deposit. The company is focused on rediscovering the Cariboo Gold Rush through targeted drilling and trenching programs on its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property.
