Blue Lagoon Resources Opens Dome Mountain Gold Mine Project Following Permit Approval
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — July 11, 2025 — NewsWall — Blue Lagoon Resources Inc. has announced the official opening of its wholly-owned Dome Mountain Gold Mine Project, following the receipt of its mining permit. The opening marks a significant milestone, as it is one of only nine mining permits granted in British Columbia in the past decade.
The celebration, held on July 9, 2025, gathered over 100 guests from Canada and abroad. Dignitaries including the Mayor of Smithers, Gladys Atrill; MLA Sharon Hartwell; and MP Ellis Ross were present, along with representatives from the Ministry of Mines and Critical Minerals.
A traditional drum ceremony, with 18 Hereditary Chiefs and Guardians from the Lake Babine Nation, highlighted the event.
Pre-production work is set to begin next week, with mining expected to start in approximately four weeks, following the commissioning of the Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) system. The two-stage water-treatment facility includes a High-Density Sludge (HDS) circuit and the MBBR circuit.
Strategic investors and partners, including Dr. Quinton Hennigh and Peter Espig, also attended the opening.
