Steven Cochrane Resigns as President and CEO of Lithium Chile Inc.

CALGARY, ALBERTA — September 30, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Lithium Chile Inc. announced that Steven Cochrane has resigned from his positions as President, CEO and a director of the Company, effective September 29, 2026. The Board of Directors expressed gratitude for Cochrane’s contributions over the past nine years, citing his dedication to the Company and its shareholders. Cochrane’s departure is motivated by retirement plans.

Al Kroontje, Chairperson of Lithium Chile, will temporarily assume Cochrane’s responsibilities. Kroontje acknowledged Cochrane’s significant role in advancing Lithium Chile, particularly highlighting the successful completion of a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for an asset in Argentina that yielded robust economic results. He also noted the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the potential sale of the Arizaro project.

Cochrane stated that the recent review by the Government of Canada concerning the transaction with China Union on the Arizaro project prompted his decision, believing new leadership is needed to advance the project. He reflected on his nine-year tenure with Lithium Chile, describing it as challenging yet rewarding, and thanked the LITH team in Canada, Chile, and Argentina for their efforts in developing a world-class lithium asset.
