First Tellurium Congratulates TELUS on AI Data Center Plans
Vancouver, BC — May 13, 2026 — Leads & Copy — First Tellurium Corp. (CSE: FTEL, OTC: FSTTF) has commended TELUS on its recent announcement to construct two advanced AI data centers in Vancouver. This initiative is part of a broader national effort to bolster Canada's sovereign compute capacity.
The projects, unveiled by the federal government and TELUS earlier in the week, involve significant expansions in Vancouver and Kamloops. They are designed to strengthen Canada's standing in the global AI sector.
TELUS President and CEO Darren Entwistle highlighted the environmental considerations of the projects. The centers will operate using 98 percent clean hydroelectric power, recycle enough waste heat to warm 150,000 homes, and use 90 percent less water compared to traditional data centers.
First Tellurium, based in Delta, BC, has expressed its support for TELUS's focus on sustainability and innovation. The company anticipates potential contributions through PyroDelta Energy Corp.’s tubular thermoelectric technology. This unique system is engineered to convert waste heat from the hot liquid used to cool AI data centers into clean, renewable electricity.
The technology aligns with TELUS’s objectives of maximizing energy efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
PyroDelta’s tubular technology was recently showcased in IEEE Spectrum, a respected engineering magazine.
First Tellurium President & CEO Tyrone Docherty stated his excitement about TELUS’s vision for climate‑forward AI infrastructure. He added that as data centers increase in scale and importance, technologies such as PyroDelta’s thermoelectric generators can play a role in capturing and reusing waste heat, and that he sees strong potential for collaboration.
First Tellurium supports TELUS on this landmark initiative and welcomes future discussions on integrating clean‑energy solutions into Canada’s next generation of AI infrastructure.
First Tellurium’s business model involves generating revenue and value through the development of tellurium-based technologies, mineral discovery, project development, and project generation.
First Tellurium is listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol “FTEL” and on the OTC under the symbol “FSTTF”. Further information about FTEL and its projects can be found at www.firsttellurium.com.
