Copper One Resources Announces Strong Surface Copper Results at Utah's Sport Project

VANCOUVER, BC — September 4, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Copper One Resources Corp. is announcing significant new surface copper assay results from its initial exploration program at the Sport Project in Utah’s San Francisco Mining District. The project, which Copper One is acquiring through the proposed acquisition of Rooinek Mining Corp., yielded grab samples with up to 1.155% copper, including visible malachite and chalcopyrite.

The Company collected 50 rock grab samples as part of a first-pass reconnaissance program. In addition to the highest copper result of 1.155% from sample SP002, sample SP044 returned 0.819% copper. Other samples showed anomalous or elevated copper and silver values. Copper One’s initial assessment suggests that copper-silver mineralization is present along faults and structural conduits within a geological setting characterized by breccia- and intrusive-related copper mineralization.

These findings support Copper One's belief that the less-explored margins of the Frisco copper trend merit further investigation. The Sport Project is situated on trend with Hawk Resources’ Cactus Copper-Gold Project.

The next steps for the Sport Project include expanding surface sampling, conducting geological mapping, and implementing geophysical surveys to identify potential intrusive copper sources. The company also plans to perform gold fire assays on all reconnaissance samples.

David Greenway, President and CEO of Copper One, stated that these initial results help to further define favorable exploration zones within the prospective Sport Project. He noted that identifying copper mineralization at surface provides a strong foundation for systematic follow-up exploration. The company intends to increase its sampling, mapping, and geophysical work to better understand the controls on mineralization and assess the possibility of a broader intrusive-related copper system at the project.

During the initial reconnaissance, geological consultants gathered 50 rock grab samples from surface outcrops. Multiple samples displayed anomalous copper, with SP002 assaying 1.155% Cu and SP044 assaying 0.819% Cu. Malachite and chalcopyrite were observed in the mineralized outcrops. Copper One's preliminary interpretation is that mineralization occurs along faults, breccias, other structural conduits, and the margins of small, late intrusive bodies.

Copper One plans to broaden surface sampling coverage to determine if the observed mineralization can guide exploration toward a concealed intrusive source of copper mineralization. The company believes the structural setting and observed mineralization warrant further investigation within the larger Frisco copper trend, reinforcing their thesis that the margins of this trend remain underexplored.

The Sport Project results are being released amidst a strong copper market. On August 26, 2026, copper prices exceeded US$6.7775 per pound in intraday trading, reaching record levels. This strength is attributed to robust market fundamentals, including increased investment in electrification, power-grid infrastructure, renewable energy, and AI-driven data centers, coupled with concerns about future mine supply. This environment highlights the strategic importance of copper and the need for new exploration and development projects in North America.

Greenway added that copper reaching a new record intraday high reinforces Copper One's focus on building a portfolio of North American copper assets. He emphasized copper’s critical role in power grids, electrification, and the infrastructure needs of AI and data centers, making this an opportune time for exploring new copper discoveries.

The Sport Project consists of 108 contiguous unpatented lode mining claims covering approximately 1,902 acres in the historic San Francisco Mining District, managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Management in Beaver County, Utah. Surface mapping has revealed extensive magmatic-hydrothermal breccias, alteration, and structural features that support the interpretation of near-surface, breccia-hosted mineralization associated with an intrusive-related copper system.

Sample preparation was conducted by ALS in Reno, Nevada, with analytical work performed by ALS in Vancouver, British Columbia. Samples were analyzed using ALS method ME-MS61L, a four-acid digestion with ICP-MS analysis. Samples with copper values exceeding the analytical range were analyzed using ALS method Cu-OG62. It is noted that grab samples are selective and may not be representative of mineralization across the entire project.

Scientific and technical information in this news release has been reviewed and approved by Larry Segerstrom, M.Sc. (Geology), CPG, a consulting geologist to the Company and a Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101.
