Bighorn Metals Corp. Secures Option to Acquire Marietta Property in Nevada
Vancouver, British Columbia — September 4, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Bighorn Metals Corp. has secured an exploration lease with an option to purchase a 100% interest in the Marietta property located in Mineral County, Nevada. The agreement was entered into with MSM Resources LLC, granting Bighorn exclusive rights for exploration and the opportunity to acquire the fee land and patented mining claims within the Silver Star Mining District in the Excelsior Mountains.
Under the terms of the agreement, effective September 3, 2026, Bighorn Metals Corp. has an initial three-year exploration period, with two additional three-year renewal terms available. During this time, the company can explore the property and decide to exercise its option to acquire a full 100% undivided interest.
The company is obligated to make an initial lease payment of US$100,000 to MSM within 30 days of the effective date. This will be followed by annual minimum payments of US$100,000 on each of the first, second, and third anniversaries of the effective date. These lease payments will not be applied to the purchase price should Bighorn exercise its option to buy.
To maintain the option in good standing, Bighorn must also commit to exploration work expenditures totaling US$250,000 over the initial three-year term. This includes US$50,000 within the first 12 months, an additional US$100,000 within 24 months, and a further US$100,000 within 36 months from the effective date.
The agreement outlines that Bighorn Metals Corp. can exercise its option to purchase a 100% undivided interest in the property for a cash payment of US$2,500,000. Upon exercise of the option, both parties will work diligently to close the conveyance of the property within 30 days of Bighorn's notice of election. At closing, Bighorn will pay the purchase price, and MSM will deliver a deed transferring a 100% undivided interest in the property, free of any encumbrances.
Following the purchase option closing, the property will be subject to a 2.0% production royalty in favor of MSM, calculated on the Gross Returns from the sale of minerals produced from the property. Bighorn has the right to purchase half of this royalty (1.0%) from MSM for a cash payment of US$1,000,000 at any time before commercial production begins. This would reduce the overall royalty burden on the property to 1.0%.
The Marietta Property is situated in the Silver Star Mining District within the Excelsior Mountains of Mineral County, Nevada. It consists of two parcels held by MSM: the Marietta Patents and the Marietta Townsite, located within specific sections of Township 5 North, Range 33 East of the Mount Diablo Meridian.
The Marietta Patents comprise 12 patented lode mining claims, including the Marietta and Marietta No. 2 claims, along with several Glengary claims and the Marietta No. 4 claim. The Marietta Townsite parcel is adjacent to these patented claims.
Bighorn Metals Corp. is an exploration-stage natural resource company focused on the evaluation, acquisition, and exploration of mineral properties. The company also holds an option to acquire the Loljuh Property in British Columbia, prospective for porphyry copper-gold mineralization. Previous geochemical and aeromagnetic surveys at Loljuh have identified anomalous gold and copper in soil and rock samples, as well as areas of alteration.
