Historic Mine Shafts Discovered by Beauce Gold Fields Align with 19th-Century Gold Mining Area

MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada — August 20, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Beauce Gold Fields (TSX Venture: BGF), also known as “BGF” or the “Company,” has announced the discovery of historic mine shafts on its property, aligning with the 19th-century De Léry Lot 14 gold mining area. These findings occurred during field preparations for an upcoming seismic geophysical survey and are situated at the eastern edge of the Saint-Simon-les-Mines paleoplacer channel, within the zone of the Company’s current Exploration Target.

Historical records from the Quebec government indicate extensive placer-gold mining on Lot 14 in the late 19th century. A 1898 report by J. Obalski states that approximately 19,350 ounces of gold were extracted from about three-quarters of an acre on Lot 14, De Léry, before 1881. The report also credits gold production to the Beauce Mining and Milling Co. on Lot 14 and the Lockwood Company on Lots 14 and 15. Beauce Gold Fields has not independently verified these historical production figures, and they should not be interpreted as indicative of current mineral resources or future outcomes.

Patrick Levasseur, President and CEO of Beauce Gold Fields, highlighted the significance of the historical account, noting that shafts were sunk on Lots 14 and 15 to follow the ancient buried river channel. He stated that over a century later, BGF is employing modern exploration techniques, including seismic geophysics, 3D modeling, and planned sonic drilling, to map the paleovalley’s structure in the area.

The Company’s current program is informed by its updated technical assessment of the Saint-Simon-les-Mines paleoplacer channel, which projected an Exploration Target between 4,004,674 to 5,991,229 cubic metres, with grades ranging from 2.02 g Au/m³ to 12.0 g Au/m³. This target is based on interpretations from historical drilling, geological modeling of the Gilbert River paleovalley, volumetric calculations, and an evaluation of auriferous saprolite and basal sedimentary units, conducted by Jean Bernard, P.Geo., an independent Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101. The potential quantity and grade of this Exploration Target are conceptual, and further exploration is needed to determine if a mineral resource can be defined.

Jean Bernard, BSc, Geo, an independent Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical information presented in this release.

The Saint-Simon-les-Mines paleoplacer channel is recognized as the heart of Canada's inaugural gold rush district. Historical mining operations between the 1860s and 1960s yielded significant amounts of coarse gold, including substantial nuggets. The Company’s geological model indicates that gold mineralization is primarily concentrated in basal gravel horizons, saprolitic bedrock, and fractured bedrock along the paleovalley floor. The ongoing geophysical program aims to further delineate these geological features and support upcoming exploration phases involving sonic drilling.

In addition to exploration updates, Beauce Gold Fields announced plans for a non-brokered private placement. The Company intends to raise $600,000 through the issuance of 20,000,000 units at $0.03 per unit. Each unit will consist of one common share and one common share purchase warrant, with the warrant allowing the holder to buy an additional common share at $0.07 for 24 months post-closing. The offering is subject to regulatory approvals, including from the TSX Venture Exchange, and proceeds will be allocated to exploration activities and general corporate purposes. The placement will be offered to accredited investors, and finders' fees may be paid. Shares issued will be subject to a four-month-and-one-day hold period. Insider participation is anticipated to exceed 25 percent of the offering. A maximum of 10 percent of the proceeds can be used for Investor Relations Activities, with no proceeds designated for payments to non-arm’s length parties or individuals conducting Investor Relations Activities.

Beauce Gold Fields is dedicated to exploring and developing the historic placer gold district in Quebec's Beauce region, aiming to identify potential bedrock sources for past placer gold workings and evaluate economic lode-gold mineralization potential. The Saint-Simon-les-Mines gold project, the site of Canada's earliest gold rush, is the Company’s flagship property. The Beauce region was a hub for major placer gold operations from the 1860s to the 1960s, producing some of Canada's largest gold nuggets. The Company is also exploring antiform structures believed to have contributed gold to the region's placer deposits, focusing on structural traps and saddle-reef-style quartz mineralization as potential bedrock sources.
